Information on Orthodontic Appliances

Every Smile Starts With An Initial Consultation!

Your initial consultation will allow us to get to know you, learn about your preferences, and discuss which treatment options best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:

  • Review your dental and medical history forms
  • Conduct a complete oral exam, with imaging, to determine the need for treatment
  • Create a customized treatment plan
  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plan options

Our team will also take the time to answer any questions you may have, and provide all of the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you!

Scheduling Appointments

What Happens After The Initial Consultation?

Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to ensure your appointment times are convenient for your schedule.

We know that life can sometimes be unpredictable! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate the necessary changes.

When you’re ready to book your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you!

Scheduling Appointments

After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment for when you’re ready to get started! During this appointment, the doctor will install your new orthodontic appliance so you can get your orthodontic journey started. This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time, our team will be available to make sure that you feel comfortable.

Visiting The Dentist During Orthodontic Treatment

Throughout your treatment, it’s important that you continue to visit your dentist once every six months, just like you would normally, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups.

If extra dental care is needed as part of your orthodontic journey, we will coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
